Our focus on the AutoCAD product development team is to continue the success of the world’s leading CAD family of applications and deliver value to a new generation of customers, on whatever platforms they choose. Our efforts to bring AutoCAD to new platforms has been publicly recognized by some of the biggest tech companies in the world (e.g. Apple, Google, Microsoft) in their various keynote events and helps set the industry standard for how cross platform development is done.

The person we are seeking for is a passionate and experienced software engineer who can work with us to combine the cutting-edge techniques and bring the AutoCAD user experience to next level on Web. We expect the candidate to have deep knowledge of Cloud, be mindful of the impact to AutoCAD customers when developing the product and can work with cross functional and platform teams to deliver high quality product on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member of a high-performance team making important individual contributions

  • Estimate schedules for projects undertaken and complete them on time, adhering to pre-determined specification and quality standards

  • Design and build advanced functionalities on Cloud platform

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to imagine, design and create new functionalities

  • Improving application performance

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

  • Unit-test code for robustness

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Computer Engineering with 5+ years working experience or equivalent MS with 3+ years working experience

  • Strong programming skills with Javascript, OOA and OOD skills

  • Experience of React, Redux and other Web front end technologies

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation

  • Good analytical and design skills at product level

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills

  • Motivated, self-starter, creative thinker, ability to work alone or as part of a team

  • Graphic background and WebGL/WebGPU knowledge is a plus

  • Experience with CAD software, scripting or Auto LISP programming would be a big plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in application testing

  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Processes and Product Development Life Cycle

  • Keen interest in new technologies and their timely adoption

  • Ability to learn large software systems quickly

  • Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
