Position Overview

The Autodesk Enterprise Customer Success (ECS) organization is looking for an accomplished, and dynamic individual to join our Americas Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Consulting Services team as a Principal Implementation Consultant for Infrastructure and Civil Engineering. You will be working in a remote role.

As a Principal Implementation Consultant, you will use your in-depth industry and technical knowledge to help our customers put design, engineering, and construction solutions into real-world.

You will work directly with our enterprise customers to offer consulting services including process and workflow implementation strategies, software training, mentoring and technical guidance and industry expertise to ensure customers are maximizing the value from their investment in Autodesk technologies and ensuring successful implementation of transformational changes to their business.

Applying change management practices and a broad range of tools, you will help our customer's increase adoption of impactful solutions across their organization to achieve meaningful results. You will also track the value impacts of the solutions we deliver and the scale at which they are adopted.

You will also work with the Autodesk product teams to provide feedback based on client experiences and stay up to speed on product development roadmaps.

You will be 100% remote and does not have any managerial responsibilities. You will report to AEC Consulting Buildings and Infrastructure Line Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Autodesk's largest customers to design and implement design and engineering, solutions, in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, to ensure the greatest possible value from their Autodesk investment

  • Analyze existing workflows and processes

  • Process definition and planning of new technologies and workflows

  • Provide technical, industry, process, and change management coaching to customers and external partners

  • Provide solutions to meet customer and industry challenges based on Autodesk product solutions.

  • Lead implementation consulting engagements with customers, and document the value delivered during those engagements.

  • Apply Autodesk product sets to detailed industry requirements and workflows.

  • Guide customers in the best application of Autodesk products; define and document detailed use cases.

  • Configure solutions based on product capabilities and customer requirements.

  • Define migration approach of customer data and standards into Autodesk products.

  • Collaborate with customers, external partners, and Autodesk partners to provide solutions and resolve technical issues.

  • Provide feedback to service line management and product development groups on client experience for product and process improvements.

  • Work with experts within Autodesk, and beyond, to support and shape the Autodesk product offering

  • Work with Autodesk account teams to define Customer Success Plans and customer engagements to implement those strategies and solutions

  • Provide mentoring to customers to increase adoption and usage

  • Provide mentoring to partners to ensure the scalable delivery of packages service offerings

  • Provide input to sales and proposal presentations and identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization

  • Contribute task estimation and task description in Scopes of Work and scope clarification with customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related degree

  • Ten (10) years of hands-on experience in the Civil Engineering / Infrastructure industry, with a focus on the delivery of digital design, engineering, and management solutions across a business enterprise

  • Autodesk product expertise (Civil 3D, Infraworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Revit)

  • Demonstrate excellence in innovation, program management, change management, business process optimization, and communications

  • Experience working with diverse technical, sales, and project management teams

  • Must have a working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management

  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, including experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering presentations to teams and customers

  • Can break down complex topics into a common language understandable by audiences

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time, including international travel

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure / Civil Engineering design, engineering, construction, and management industry practices, important industry and technology focus areas would be:

  • Site Design & Land Development

  • Transportation (Roads & Highway, Rail)

  • Civil Structures, specifically focused on Bridges

  • Knowledge of competitive solutions in the Civil & Transportation industry

  • Experience in defining and delivering on technology and process solutions in these areas

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $102,200 and $165,330. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
