Position Overview

Are you interested in shaping a global team responsible for running a best in class operations business? We are hiring a Director for our Service Delivery Center in Bangalore, India to join our Digital Enterprise Systems (DES) team

Within DES, the Autodesk IT team, one of our most important responsibilities is to engineer and operate the core systems which power Autodesk s business. These systems touch both internal and external customers and serve as the foundation that runs Autodesk s $2.5B business in a 24x7x365 mission-critical environment that must scale with our growth to $5B and beyond

The Director, Service Delivery Center (SDC), reporting to the CIO, is accountable and responsible for the deliveries of the SDC team; the team provides 24x7 global IT support and operations encompassing infrastructure, applications, platform, and data operations. The team also provides Devops and site reliability engineering. This role is responsible and accountable for the service management program and strategic development of service delivery center strategy. You will ensure Autodesk has a secure, sustainable, optimized and automated global operations for enterprise applications and Infrastructure platforms. Provide application support for the enterprise and site reliability engineering in tooling, modernization and resilience. You will drive the team accountability for responding to, investigating, and resolving high-impact incidents 24x7x365. You ll develop end-to-end services and working with business and Digital Enterprise Service owners to plan, build and deliver and sustain them across complete service lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • As the regional lead, s/he will play a key role in driving the Operations strategy for global infrastructure, Devops and site reliability engineering

  • Directs a 24x7 global team of 200 workforce managing End-to-End Operations

  • Responsible and accountable for service management program and strategic development of Service delivery center strategy

  • Secure, Sustain, optimize and automate our global operations for enterprise applications and Infrastructure platforms

  • Provide application support for the enterprise and site reliability engineering in tooling, modernization and resilience

  • Provide Infrastructure, Platform, Robotic Process automation (RPA) and Data as a service across enterprise landscape within Digital Enterprise services

  • Support in strategic initiatives of moving from Data Center to Cloud and setup of Cloud shared service

  • Drive team accountability for responding to, investigating, and resolving high-impact incidents 24x7x365

  • Service Lifecycle. Develop end to end services and working with business and Digital Enterprise Service owners to plan, build and deliver and sustain them across complete service lifecycle

  • Provides thought leadership in IT strategy, operations, cost optimizations, innovation and efficiency improvement

  • Partner with key leaders to define strategic roadmap and prioritize initiatives aligned to technology and business priorities

  • Cultivate an innovative environment for continuous improvement and leading changes that drive efficiencies into existing engineering and delivery processes

  • Implement DevOps culture of collaboration and standard methodology to maintain 24x7 production environment with a high level of service availability

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in managing 24x7 global IT operations encompassing Infrastructure, Platform, Data and application operations teams

  • 5 years of experience in Sr. leadership roles (Director, Sr. Manager roles)

  • 10 years IT experience

  • Experience in maintaining SOC & SOX and IT General Controls

  • Strong ability to lead, manage teams and motivate subordinates

  • Critical leadership capabilities include: strategic thinking, driving results, stakeholder management, service management, managing and coaching, reporting and analytics, and service roadmap

  • Prior experience with development and deployment of automation workflows to reduce manual efforts and to optimize/speed production activities. Experience with Automation frameworks for AI and ML preferred

  • Prior experience in large-scale system deployments with focuses on availability, reliability and interoperability across various top-tiered hardware, and operating system platforms

  • Prior experience with Service management and/or service-oriented teams/organizations that have end to end services that include planning, building and delivery

  • Comfortable presenting to executive staff or leadership staff and advocating for the right outcome. Experience interfacing with key stakeholders, partners and vendors, ensuring they understand project deliverables, meet timing and cost deadlines, and collaborate with internal project stakeholders while augmenting internal team resources

  • Solid understanding of industry best practices and standards around IT operations

  • Develops, manages, and controls departmental expenditures against the operating expense and capital budgets

  • Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 10-20%
