Position Overview

Autodesk Fusion is the first and only integrated cloud CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB product development platform of its kind. Fusion is a new and better way for teams, collaborators, and customers to design and manufacture, together. Regardless of discipline, teammates can work together in the same place and simultaneously without the need for multiple tools that don't talk to each other. By bringing teams together on one end-to-end, secure, cloud-based workspace, their data is accessible, current and secure.

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will enable engineering teams and non-engineering partners alike to engage in purposeful conversations and feedback loops throughout the product design and manufacturing process and ensure it's accessible in one seamless digital thread. You will ensure the right people have up-to-date information, with controlled access, comments, and history on the devices of their choice.

In this hybrid work arrangement, you will develop relationships and work closely with our customers and development teams across product teams, platform teams, and customer advocacy groups. Autodesk's product managers have an unyielding passion when it comes to shaping the future of design and make industry. We are the critical connection between customer needs and business strategy, software development, and go-to-market execution. On a given day you may deliver a pitch to a senior executive, extract new meaning from analytics data, address a customer issue, or work through a challenging design question with a development team. Responsibilities

  • Manage vision and roadmap for assigned data and collaboration capabilities

  • Establish expertise, identify market opportunities, and conduct research

  • Use insight from customer engagements, sales opportunities, product analytics data, market research, and other sources to prioritize product requirements

  • Articulate goals to guide design and engineering teams

  • Collaborate with product teams to define, prioritize, and plan new capabilities

  • Bring creative solutions to traditional problems; ideate on new concepts and opportunities to address emerging and future customer needs

  • Partner with extended teams to deliver coordinated outcomes across diverse teams

  • Review product deliverables for completeness and documentation

  • Track competitive landscape and market dynamics

  • Work closely with sales and marketing to represent the product at industry conferences and customer events

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent

  • 5+ years of product management experience at a SaaS/software company

  • Exposure to cloud-based product development experience

  • Ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts simply

  • Strong influence, prioritization, relationship building, and organization skills

  • Experience managing stakeholders, risk, and uncertainty

  • Ability to collaborate with a global team and occasional travel

  • Curious, data-driven, strategic and a team-player

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying product management strategies

  • Mechanical design, CAD, modeling and/or manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with scrum/agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of Fusion, Inventor, Solidworks, and/or Onshape

  • Familiarity with the latest trends in native and web app user experience and development
