Position Overview
Autodesk looking for an Project Specialist to help manage sales events, including programs within their annual sales kick off meetings. The ideal candidate for the Project Specialist role will be an experienced, take charge professional with ability to manage administration and logistics of numerous programs within the sales conferences as well as other key sales events throughout the year. The Project Specialist must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision. The Project Specialist also should have a passion for and experience with volunteerism and corporate event management, someone who provides outstanding customer service, is an enthusiastic professional who able to build relationships with internal and external partners.
In this role, you will be part of GSSO s Enablement & Events team, which is responsible for providing people with the knowledge, skills, and competencies they need to perform their best and making experience than enable high performance. As a member of GSSO Enablement & Events, you will also work closely with your clients, other enablement program managers, marketing, operations, sales, services and product teams. Our sweet spot is partnering with them to figure out how best to enable sales and services roles, and then implement sales events, training & learning webinars to meet your client s goals.
Responsibilities
Contribute to event/project strategy, design, development, and successful implementation
Collect information regarding status of action items, maintain high-level project schedule, raise potential issues with program manager; suggest and implement solutions as needed
Serve as liaison with vendors and internal partners on event-related matters
Assist with management of event/project budget, including contracts, invoicing, purchasing
Maintain and revise procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of programs/projects and supporting systems
Assist sourcing venues, catering, 3rd party vendors for sales & training events
Minimum Qualifications
BA, BS, or equivalent experience
2 years project management or similar experience
2 years in Event Planning
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and presenting
Highly organized with a proven ability to drive projects to completion and persevere to get the job done
Strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and quality standards
Proficient with multiple desktop applications, including MS Office, Sharepoint
Some travel required (less than 20%)
