Position Overview

Do you want to help shape exceptional user experiences and drive impactful research initiatives? As a Senior Experience Researcher at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in our team, focusing on delivering user-centered insights that inform and enhance our products and services.

Reporting to the Research Manager for AEC Platform, the Senior Experience Researcher will collaborate with a talented team of UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other important partners, specifically working with our AI & ML teams. You'll join a larger User Research team and you'll contribute to building innovative solutions in the AEC space. You'll apply your research skills and collaborate with global teams across the company. You will build strong relationships across different teams to help us achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AI & ML teams to inform product and design decisions

• Plan and execute qualitative research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction through post-release validation

• Employ different research methods to achieve product and organizational impact, including contextual inquiry, diary studies, interviews, formative and summative usability studies, and quantitative methods, such as surveys and data analytics

• Collect and analyse data using empirical and statistical methodologies

• Translate research findings into applicable insights

• Provide recommendations to decision-makers and communicate research findings to partners

• Apply problem-solving techniques to develop innovative solutions

• Design and facilitate workshops for idea generation

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience conducting and leading user experience research

• An interest and understanding of the applications of AI & ML and with hands-on user research experience in this area

• Experience analyzing insights and summarize complex data into clear and applicable insights

• Experience building partnerships with a variety of product development teams

• Up-to-date toolkit of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools, and the experience to determine the appropriate approach for each situation

• Experience with human-centered design principles and practices

• A solid foundation in problem-solving techniques, applying a holistic and logical approach to research and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry

• Familiarity with using online diary platforms and co-creation techniques

• Experience working with data scientists to combine behavioral and attitudinal insights into a holistic narrative

• Experience working with AI & ML teams and informing product and design decisions within those teams

• University degree in a related field such as Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related/equivalent field

• Experience with mixed or multi-method research approaches

• Experience facilitating workshops and working groups with extended team members and customers
